On a wonderful 4 week holiday to the US, my husband and I visited the Navajo Reservation and I was humbled by the vibrant and pains-taking work the Navajo Indians produced. Their hand embroidered carpets with geometric patterns full of bright colours had me enthralled. Thanks to these unassuming and gentle Navajo Indians, I decided to adapt some of their patterns in my work. I use underglazes and each form is hand painted.
