Having henna applied on my hands at a friend’s wedding inspired me to depict these iconic patterns on my porcelain work. I made one set using red and black underglaze (red being a predominant colour at Indian weddings), so these were very much wedding patterns depicting garlands of flowers and the other collection was in monochrome.
